...4 years later

Yep that's right! 4 years later! I thought one was bad! Well, Aiden just turned 8 so it's crazy to see that just 2 posts back he turned 3...not to mention my beautiful Caitlin that hasn't even made an appearance on here who is now 3. I guess I've missed out on documenting that time as I had hoped this blog would help me do so they could have a bit of journaling on their child hood...so maybe I'll throw in some updates as I remember them but at a minimum I hope to be better from now on & not let life slip by regardless of the craziness that naturally happens while just surviving life & motherhood.

So Aiden was baptized last Saturday and that was very nice. Things didn't go according to plans but nobody but the moms even knew. He shared the baptism with his best friend Maddox who  has helped fill up the missing 5 years of aidens life. Aidens family-great grandma & grandpa Littlefield & Halls were both there as well as grandma & grandpa Hall and grandma Karryl & Uncle Jed & uncle Kyle (uncle Chris is finishing up his mission in southern Cali & aunt Rachel is still stationed up in Alaska & just had new baby Camden that we haven't gotten to meet yet in person & aunt Sofia is studying for finals) I'm so proud of Aiden & very blessed to be his mom! He is such a good boy & has been such a help to our family & has been so loving to his sister. 

What kind of a mother am I? It's almost been a year since my last post? That is terrible....especially considering that my new years resolution was to blog at least once a week. Guess that's another testament to the failure of New Years Resolutions. Well, here's to starting fresh and blogging more on the cutest kid in the McGinnis' life.

1-2-3!

So Aiden is officially a BIG BOY! His birthday was May 1rst and he had the best day ever. We had a normal morning and he got to play with his friend Kennedy. Then around 4 we met his friends Wyatt, Garren, and Matthew at Chuckee Cheese. That's right he got to play all kinds of games with his buddies and then ate cupcakes and opened presents. I asked him what game was his favorite and he couldn't decide. Shortly after we went out to eat with the same friends at Fuddruckers and he got to play more video games there. His favorite game there is the candy game.

When we got home he was so tired he could barely blow out his candles and he had to get ice for his head and fell asleep with the bag of ice on the couch. Now whenever we ask him how old he is he holds up 1 finger then raises his 2nd finger then the 3rd one pops up and he smiles and says 3! He is sooooo cute.

Just a quick update on Aiden. His birthday is coming up and he wants everything that he sees on tv "for his birthday."

He loves to take pictures....this is his spiderman crock.

He also thinks that every 2-year-old is a gourmet chef like he is. He is especially good at sneaking eggs and dropping them before they make it in the bowl. Mommy can't cook without his help.

He is good at helping around the house, we clean, garden, play with Alex and all kinds of fun things. He loves playing wii and watching movies, he thinks that he should be potty training even though he doesn't get the concept that he has to actually put something in the potty, and he loves playing with his friends. He also loves wrestling with daddy.

This blog is dedicated to our family Jacob, Becca and Aiden...for now. Until it grows I'm sure most entries will be about Aiden. But stay tuned for everyday life and little personal family journal entries.
